Tanawha Trail Stack Rock Poster

The 13-mile Tanawha Trail through the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina is famed for having some of the most breathtaking mountain views in the whole state. Stretching from Beacon Heights, just south of Grandfather Mountain. the trail leads all the way to the Julian Price Memorial Park. Pictured above is Stack Rock. This massive pinnacle can be viewed poking up through the forest canopy while driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and represents the most technical section of the Tanawha Trail, with steep climbs and scrambles!
