This short, yet strenuous trail quickly descends 200 feet in elevation to a viewing platform of Upper Bearwallow Falls. Traveling through hillside groves of blooming rhododendrons and wildflowers during the summer months, it’s an exceptionally beautiful trail to also see some fall foliage. Beginning at the Bearwallow Valley picnic shelter, this family friendly trail can be extended by hiking the 1.15 mile Bearwallow Valley Trail which begins at the Gorges State Park Visitors Center.
