Daniel Boone National Forest Dog Slaughter Falls Trail Poster
Despite its morbid name, the Dog Slaughter Falls Trail is one of the more iconic and beautiful trails in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Located in the London Ranger District, this 2.4 mile out and back trail travels parallel to Dog Slaughter Creek until reaching the 15 ft tall Dog Slaughter Falls near its confluence with the Cumberland River. Filled with numerous seasonal cascades, towering cliffs and densely shaded tunnels of rhododendrons, every bit of this hike is as picturesque as its final destination.
