Art Loeb Trail Tennent Mountain Poster
At over 30 miles long, the Art Loeb Trail is one of the most iconic and well traveled long distance trails in Western North Carolina. Stretching from Brevard, through the Pisgah National Forest, and ending in Cold Mountain, this strenuous trail is divided into four distinct sections by the U.S Forest Service. The northernmost area summiting Black Balsam Knob, Tennent Mountain and ending at Ivestor Gap en route to the Shining Rock Wilderness is considered a quintessential day hike along this scenic trail. Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, its one of the most popular areas to enjoy the vivid fall colors of the Great Balsam Mountain range and is packed with visitors nearly year round.
